Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

Calcifer is designed to keep your nutrition data on your device. We do not require an account and we do not run a service that collects personal profiles, email addresses, or analytics about how you use the app.

What data Calcifer stores

Calcifer stores the workouts and meals you enter, along with the calorie, macro, duration, and goal information needed to provide the app's tracking features. This information is stored locally on your device.

Your OpenRouter API key is also stored locally on your device so Calcifer can make AI requests on your behalf. Calcifer does not send your API key to Calcifer-operated servers.

AI requests and OpenRouter

When you use AI-powered meal or workout estimation, Calcifer sends your prompt to OpenRouter using your own API key. The prompt may include the meal or workout description you entered so the AI can estimate nutritional information.

These requests go directly from the app to OpenRouter. OpenRouter processes them under its own terms and privacy policy. Please review OpenRouter's policies to understand how it handles requests, including any retention or model-provider practices that may apply.

What we do not collect

  • No name, email address, or account information
  • No location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers
  • No advertising profiles or usage analytics
  • No workouts or meals on Calcifer-operated servers

Your choices

You can edit or delete your meals and workouts within the app. You can also remove Calcifer's locally stored data by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. You control your OpenRouter API key and can revoke it through OpenRouter.

Changes to this policy

If Calcifer's data practices change, this page will be updated with the revised policy and date.
